Copper Mountain, Colorado, has its seventh Annual Gobbler Chase, a way to work off excess baggage post-feast, as the race shoes off on Saturday morning at 11:00 -- before lunch! Where else can you get the "Best logo of Thanksgiving," a fit and happy turkey dressed in blue with a scarf, hat, sweater and earmuffs racing blue snowshoes.

The Copper Environmental Foundation, founded and funded by Copper employees, is a non profit organization that supports and directly funds environmental projects and programs in Colorado's Summit and Lake Counties. Environmental projects that promote sustainability through education, scientific research, or community-based initiatives are the focus of the organization.
100% of funds raised support LOCAL youth environmental initiatives, with employee contributions doubled through a matching contribution by the resort. Not only do employees benefit from a tax deduction, they also benefit through direct participation in the allocation of funds to local youth environmental programs.
